Quantum Foundations and Quantum Information Theory

After several years of research on the foundations of quantum theory and quantum information, the scientific focus of our group shifted toward the interplay between quantum theory and space-time physics. In approaching these questions from new and still largely unexplored directions, we have been guided by the conviction that physical phenomena should be described in terms of operationally well-defined notions. This has led us to employ tools from quantum foundations and quantu minformation theory throughout our research.
