Long Night of Research 2026

On April 24, at this year’s Long Night of Research, IQOQI-Vienna demonstrated just how fascinating the world of quantum physics can be. Our scientists presented hands-on experiments and explained how the fundamental building blocks of nature behave.

Until late in the evening, visitors explored these experiments and, with the help of our scientists, gained insight into probabilities and the surprising principles of quantum mechanics. Many also took part in our coin game challenge against quantum physics, learning more about the mysteries and complexities of the quantum world in an interactive and engaging way.
