The program aims to nurture their interest in science, introduce them to careers in research, and inspire them to use their talents to help shape Ukraine’s future.

During their week in Vienna, the participants visited leading research institutions and engaged with scientists working at the forefront of physics and astronomy. Their program included visits to the Austrian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Science and Technology Austria, the University of Vienna, and TU Wien.

On September 22, the group explored IQOQI-Vienna, where Senior Postdoc Armin Shayeghi introduced them to the history of the institute and its research activities. During guided laboratory tours, the students gained insights into experimental quantum research and learned more about the work carried out at IQOQI-Vienna. The visit concluded on the institute’s rooftop, where the students had the opportunity to see the Hedy-Lamarr-Telescope and take in a unique view of Vienna.
