IQOQI’s Highly Cited Researchers

Some of the world’s most influential scientists conduct their research at IQOQI. According to the newest ranking by Clarivate Analytics, five out of 198 “Highly Cited Researchers” in physics are IQOQI members – an impressive number!

The basis for this annual rating is the citation database "Web of Science". It shows how often publications by a researcher were cited in the last decade – between 2010 and 2020 in the latest ranking. Next to the number of publications, a scientist’s citation count is considered a measure of the scientific relevance of their contributions. The "Highly Cited Researchers" ranking currently includes around 6,600 scientists worldwide from 21 research fields, who have published several highly-cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year.
