Together with four other institutes of the Austrian Academy of Sciences —the Marietta Blau Institute for Particle Physics, the Acoustics Research Institute, the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology, and the Gregor Mendel Institute of Molecular Plant Biology—IQOQI Vienna welcomed curious minds to the Vienna Museum of Science and Technology (Technisches Museum Wien). Approximately 2,500 people took part in the event, exploring the diversity of research through interactive activities, engaging discussions, and guided tours.

At the IQOQI Vienna stations, visitors experienced quantum phenomena up close—from wave interference and single photons to levitating quantum particles. Through live demonstrations, our researchers offered insights into the surprising behavior of nature at the smallest scales and showed how quantum physics shapes our understanding of the universe.
