Anton Zeilinger at Vienna City Hall

On May 31, 2023, Nobel Laureate Anton Zeilinger took his audience at the Vienna City Hall on 'A Voyage Through Quantum Wonderland'.

Following on from his Nobel Prize speech given in Stockholm in December 2022, Anton Zeilinger now devoted his Vienna lecture to individual topics and aspects, including entanglement and quantum encryption. The fundamental question of the role of information in science and the famous teleportation were also addressed.

The lecture was followed by questions from the audience moderated by Herbert Pietschmann, Emeritus Professor of the Faculty of Physics, University of Vienna.

The framework moderation was held by Tanja Traxler, Head of Science Department, Der Standard and the welcome address was delivered by Veronica Kaup-Hasler, City Councillor for Culture and Science.
