From Einstein's Curiosities to New Quantum Technologies to Space-scale Tests of Quantum Foundations

The Chinese quantum physicist Jian-Wei Pan is Director of the CAS Center for Excellence in Quantum Information and Quantum Physics and Distinguished Chair Professor in Quantum Optics and Quantum Physics at the University of Science and Technology of China. He is a member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In April 2019, he was awarded the Chinese Micius Prize together with Anton Zeilinger, President of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and Professor at the University of Vienna.
